I have a LaserJet MFP M527 which, when performing duplex scans or copies, the resulting document has banding / shading on one half of the odd-numbered pages, but the even-numbered pages are clean. In other words, the side of each page facing up has the banding, but the opposite side of the page is clean & defect free.
When printing, the documents come out clean & without defect.
The printer's firmware is current, and all of the scan settings are default. Increasing the resolution, file size, etc. tends to make the issue worse (the shading spreads to cover more of the page).
The glass on the scanner is clean, and there's no debris of any sort in the paper path. I have no idea what could be causing the banding / shading on the documents.
