We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

I am discussed that HP forces me to log in to an online account to enable me to scan from my local scanner sitting next to me on my desk.  I do not use web or internet scanning.  Why do I have to log in to scan.  This is OS independent as I use MACOS, Windows and iOS and all have the same requirement.

I should be able to use my device without the need to log into an internet account.  This renders the device inoperable if there is a network outage with my internet provider.  This makes a great printer scanner combo a pain to use.

I also have to re-log in every single time HP push out an update on the app, so this basically means I have to log in EVERY SINGLE TIME I want to "Quickly" scan something like a receipt or the like.  Instead of taking a minute it ends up several minutes due to the convoluted log in method switching between app and browser and back.  HP - This needs to be fixed.  I should not have to log in to an internet account to use hardware that I own.  No wonder our IT at my workplace threw one of these on the scrap pile even though it was practically brand new.  Unfortunately I did not know this when I bought it, else I would have stayed with Canon which I previously used.  I guess this is my last HP printer scanner combo.
