Product: HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M480f

M480F. OSX 14 (Mac Studio M1) 

I can install the printer but it won't show the scanner when using Ethernet

I can install the printer and it shows the scanner when using USB.

Something is blocking the scanner. I'm not sure if it is the printer settings or a Mac setting.

Also HP Smart cannot see the network printer it can only see the USB printer. It shows "Network information cannot be Retrieved..." The scanner is also missing in HP Smart "Feature unavailable"

 

Mac OS14.2

 

Any advice?

OK. I solved my own problem.

 

You have to enable remote user autocapture and webscan from the settings.

 

No I will try and see why HP smart doesn't see the scanner....

The first photo is Ethernet connection. 

The second is with USB.

 

I want the scanner to work with the  Ethernet connection like my other LaserJet did.

 

Also how on earth can HP Smart say the scanner is not supported when I can scan with USB. 

Please advise.
