Hi, I now have two different problems with my scanner -- 

 

1. When I used the document feeder -- it gives me blank pages.  I have tried to make sure I am scanning right side up -- doesn't matter which side I put the document in, I always get a blank page.

 

2. When I just give up and use the flat bed (which used to work fine...) now I get a document that looks as if squeezed from top to bottom.  It's smaller and squeezed -- like in a funhouse mirror.  It might be an issue with the resolution, but I've played with 300dpi, 150... nothing seems to make a difference and I don't know why now it's doing this.

 

I've tried updating the firmware.  I've tried turning the printer off and on again.  I've tried also unplugging the printer and giving it a break... any other advice?  I need this scanner, and I invested money in it so that I wouldn't have to buy another one, but it seems no matter what you spend it ends up not working?

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

Which application are you using to scan?

Did you make a copy and check if that scans fine?

 

Meanwhile:-

Check the scanner bar functionality: partially lift the scanner lid, and then press the Copy button or icon. If the scanner light does not illuminate or move across the glass then it should be a scanner issue.
