Hi,

Yesterday, 2nd of April 2019 -  We've come across an issue with the fax function on our mfp m477 - where it looks like the mfp m477 resent a fax which was already sent on friday 29th March 2019.   

 

We have checked and did not find anyone who resent the same fax again [so eliminating human error] - according to the log at the time the duplicate fax was sent - there was someone at the MFP M477 however she was faxing a completely differnt document to a completely different recipient.

 

We are trying to understand why the MFP M477 will keep the fax in memory and then after 4 days nearly decide that ok it needs to resend a fax which it already sent 4 days ago...and successfully as well... 

 

As we try to further investigate the issue...can the HP support team advise for how long the MFP M477 will keep record of Faxes which we are sending (if it does save a copy of all faxes we are sending in memory) - and if there is any method for us to check what it still holds in memory - as we would like somehow to make sure that this does not happen again - as obviously this behaviour of the fax function  is very risky.
