HP Mobile Fax has been in "Trial mode" for a while -- years, in fact.

Should the status ever change, you will be notified and offered terms to continue using the software.

What does "Trial mode" mean?

• HP Mobile Fax -- Trial -- service is offered free of charge.
• There are guidelines for using Mobile Fax
• There is also no actual support for Trial Software -- the software is stable but not guaranteed to be in service at all times.
