My OfficeJet 3830 will not scan from the HP Smart app on HP Cromebook.

My OfficeJet 3830 will not scan from the HP Smart app on my kids' HP Cromebook.  We can print just fine from the laptop but can not scan to it. The printer works perfectly from other devices i.e iPhones and Laptops. When attempting to scan from the HP Smart app on the HP Cromebook it attempts to take you to the sign-in page but it always takes us to a page that says "invalid_grant

SAZ110002: state parameter duplicate".

This is a laptop used for the kids school work and it makes it hard to have to switch laptops to turn in work. Any suggestions would be a great deal of help.

Edit - Update Content -  Chromebook Printing

I have heard back from another colleague.

He confirmed that this is a (still) valid option for Chromebook printing:

HP Print for Chrome

The Mobile compatibility document recommends an application called HP Print for Chrome. 

The image approval process sometimes takes a while.

No matter - the images are not critical in this instance.

What to do?

I don't know.

The last I checked, HP Smart is not optimized for Chrome OS - it surprises me it ever worked at all.

I do not see HP Smart in the Chrome Google Apps Store, either.

What else?

If you have a supported Windows, Android, or iOS phone, you could use HP Smart in that environment.

Unknown (there are so MANY things I don't know about Chrome OS),

Solution:  Use Chromebook Printing options

OK - I'd lost track of this and a colleague reminded me about the information.

There are apparently alternatives to applications not intended for Chrome OS and the dead Cloud Print option.

Scan??  Maybe.

At the least, I think reading the document might be helpful.

I am not sorry I answered your request - I do regret that the easy solution you seek is not available.

I don't use Chrome OS and cannot offer any personal insight on its operation.
