Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I just got a new Dell computer Window 11 and im trying to scan things into it but it will not work i have HP Smart on it but every time i hit the "scan" feature on the app it says "Scanning is Currently Unavailable" the printer is plugged into the computer so its not an issue of connection
