Hi @Safeone,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error message you're experiencing with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-In-One Printer, indicating that the list of print apps could not be updated, suggests a connectivity issue with HP's web services or an issue with the printer's firmware. Here are several steps you can take to potentially resolve this issue:

Check Internet Connection: Ensure your printer is connected to a stable internet connection. You can print a Wireless Network Test report or use the printer's control panel to check the connection status.

Update Printer Firmware: Outdated firmware can cause issues with web services. Check if there is an update available for your printer's firmware and update it. This can usually be done directly from the printer's control panel or through the HP Smart app.

Reset Printer to Factory Defaults: Resetting the printer to its factory default settings can sometimes resolve these kinds of issues. Note that this will remove all settings, including network settings, and you'll have to set up the printer again. The option to reset can typically be found in the printer's settings menu under Tools or Setup.

To restore the printer to the original network settings 1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ). 2. Touch Network Setup. 3. Touch Restore Network Settings. A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored. 4. Touch Yes. 5. Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
