Self feeder not working

I understand the self-feeder on your HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175a is not working, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

 

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the feeder and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
  • Carefully remove any stuck paper or debris.

Inspect the Feed Rollers:

  • Open the feeder and inspect the rollers for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth and a mild cleaning solution.

Check the Paper Alignment:

  • Ensure the paper is properly aligned in the feeder tray.
  • Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper snugly but not too tightly.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Update the Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Visit the HP support website to check for and download any available updates.

Clean the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder):

  • Open the ADF and clean the scanner glass and any other parts that may be dirty.

Check for Software Issues:

  • Ensure the printer drivers and software on your computer are up to date.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the printer software if necessary.

Test with Different Paper:

  • Try using a different type or batch of paper to see if the issue persists.
