Hi @Jsa59,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is stuck at a print size of 250% and won't accept the original setting of 100% or any new setting to reduce the print size, there are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
  • Check Printer Settings: Ensure that you're accessing the correct print settings on your computer. Make sure you're adjusting the print size settings within the print dialog box of your computer's software (e.g., Word, Adobe Reader) and not just the physical settings on the printer itself.
  • Printer Driver Update: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause compatibility issues. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
  • Reset Printer Settings: On some HP printers, you can reset the printer settings to their default values. Check your printer's manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
  • Printer Firmware Update: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Firmware updates can sometimes fix bugs and improve printer functionality. Refer to your printer's manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to update the firmware.
  • Check Printer Control Panel: If your printer has a control panel, navigate through the settings to see if there's an option to reset the print size or if there are any settings related to print scaling that need adjustment.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue with your HP printer being stuck at a print size of 250%.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
