My printer won't copy a paper that is on the glass. It says the paper in tray one is a mix-match, but it's the correct size. Can you assist in troubleshooting this issue?

Try these steps:

Check the Paper Size Settings

  • Ensure that the paper size selected on the printer matches the actual paper size loaded in the tray. You can check this setting in the printer’s copy menu.

Adjust Paper Guides

  • Make sure that the paper guides in the tray are correctly positioned to fit the paper size you are using. They should snugly fit against the paper without bending it.

Load Paper Properly

  • Verify that the paper is correctly loaded in the tray. It should be aligned correctly and not crumpled. Also, ensure there is no excessive amount of paper in the tray, which could cause issues.

Reset the Printer

  • Sometimes simply resetting the printer can resolve configuration issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on.

Update Printer Firmware

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

 

Perform a Hard Restart

  • Unplug any cables, wait for 60 seconds, and plug them back in. After restarting, check if the issue persists.
