Hi @EdAnda,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there might be a connectivity issue specifically with the scanning software and your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve this.

  • Check Network Connection: Ensure that your printer and computer are connected to the same network. Sometimes, scanning issues can occur due to network discrepancies.
  • Restart Devices: Power cycle both your printer and your computer. Turn them off, wait for a few seconds, and then turn them back on. This can sometimes resolve temporary communication issues.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025. Updated firmware can fix bugs and improve compatibility with scanning software.
  • Reinstall Scan Software: If the scanning software is a separate application, try reinstalling it. Sometimes, reinstalling can resolve software-related issues.
  • Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Sometimes, security software can block the scanning software from connecting to the printer. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software and check if the scanning software can connect.
  • Use HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP provides a diagnostic tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor, which can diagnose and resolve printing and scanning issues. You can download it from the HP website and run it to see if it can detect and fix the problem.
  • Reset Printing System (Mac): If you're using a Mac, resetting the printing system can sometimes resolve scanning issues. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-click (or Control-click) on the printer, and choose "Reset printing system." Note that this will remove all printers from your list, so you'll need to re-add them afterward.
  • Check for Driver Updates: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
