Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Is there any way to shut off the sleep / power settings??? They are extremely inconvenient in a high paper scanning environment when the scanner goes to sleep while a worker is organizing papers to scan, it takes an extra 5 minutes for the scanner software to recognize the scanner again to start working.  I have the power set to 8 hours and the sleep to 60.

The power is not much of an issue, but the sleep needs to be turned off.  I have the scanner hooked up to the PC with the usb cable.  Ive tried the network and Wi-Fi connections too, but they were worse.

Thanks

It looks like there is no setting to disable sleep.

I asked ChatGpt and got the following where "i 0" turns it off and "i 1" turn the printer back on line

the idea being to schedule the snmp "i 1" command every 45 minutes or so during working hours.

snmpset -v 1 -c public 192.168.1.120 1.3.6.1.2.1.43.9.2.1.1.1 i 1

It did not work on my cm1415 as it was not implemented

C:\Users\josep\Desktop\f>
C:\Users\josep\Desktop\f> snmpget -v 1 -c public 192.168.1.120 1.3.6.1.2.1.43.5.1.1.16.1
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.5.1.1.16.1 = STRING: "HP LaserJet CM1415fnw"

C:\Users\josep\Desktop\f>
C:\Users\josep\Desktop\f>snmpset -v 1 -c public 192.168.1.120 1.3.6.1.2.1.43.9.2.1.1.1 i 1
Error in packet.
Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB.
Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.9.2.1.1.1

However you might try a PCL reset

0000000000 PCL Parameterized <Esc>%-12345X Universal Exit Language (UEL)
0000000009 PCL Simple <Esc>E Printer Reset

I go the idea here
