Hi @jalice,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The PIN for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 is usually required for secure features such as scanning to email or faxing. Here’s how you can find or set the PIN.

Default PIN

Sometimes the default PIN is printed on a label inside the printer or in the documentation that came with it. Check the printer for any stickers or labels that might have a default PIN.

HP Smart App

You can find the PIN using the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device:

  • Open the HP Smart app.
  • Select your printer.
  • Go to 'Printer Settings' or 'Advanced Settings'.
  • Look for the section that mentions security, PIN, or Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Embedded Web Server (EWS)

You can access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) to find or set the PIN:

  1. Connect your computer or mobile device to the same network as your printer.
  2. Find the IP address of your printer: This is usually shown on the printer's control panel under network settings.
  3. Open a web browser and enter the IP address into the address bar to access the EWS.
  4. Log in to the EWS using the default admin credentials (usually admin for username and leave the password blank if you haven’t set one).
  5. Navigate to the security settings and look for the PIN settings. Here you can find the current PIN or set a new one.

User Manual

Check the user manual or the support documentation that came with your printer. There might be a section about setting up or finding the PIN.

If you've changed the default PIN and forgotten it, you might need to reset your printer to factory settings and set it up again to create a new PIN.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
