HP Deskjet 4155e all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

New Deskjet 4155e functions fine but when it sits idle with no page in the document feeder it constantly hunts for a document. The noise is irritating and bound to wear out parts if this is left to continue 24/7. It does not do this if a page is loaded into the feeder but I don't intend to have a page to copy loaded all the time. How do I get this 'hunting' to NOT happen when the document feeder is empty?

I just set mine up and have this same issue. I updated the firmware and nothing happened. Should be a simple fix in the firmware, but I don't think it will be fixed. I guess I'll have to keep a piece of paper in the feeder at all times. What a silly bug.
