@catrahal, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding How to Scan to PDF using HP Smart App on Mac OS!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To scan directly to a PDF using your HP Smart Tank 7602 on a Mac running macOS Sequoia, you can use the HP Smart app. Here are the steps to follow:

Install the HP Smart app:

  • If you haven't already, download and install the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store.

Set Up Your HP Printer:

  • Make sure your HP Smart Tank 7602 printer is properly connected to your Mac and powered on.
  • Open the HP Smart app, and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.

Open the HP Smart App:

  • Launch the HP Smart app from your Applications folder or Dock.

Select the Scan Option:

  • In the HP Smart app home screen, click on the 'Scan' tile.

Adjust Scan Settings:

  • Before starting the scan, adjust the settings by selecting 'Settings' or 'Preferences'. Here, you can specify the scan type, color mode, and resolution.

Select the File Type:

  • Set your preferred file type to PDF. This option is usually available within the scan settings or preferences window.

Start Scanning:

  • Place your document on the scanner glass or load it into the document feeder if your printer has one.
  • Click the 'Scan' button to begin scanning.

Save the Scanned Document:

  • Once the scan completes, you have the option to edit the scanned document.
  • Click 'Save' or 'Save As' and choose the location on your computer where you want to save the PDF file.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
