No FAX icon on HP OfficeJet Pro 8720

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8720 in my home office that I bought a few years ago.  I must have disabled the Faxing component when I installed it, but I would like to use it now.  There is no fax icon anywhere on the display and in the Embedded Web Server, all the fax settings I try to access tell me "You cannot use this function because it has been disabled. For more information, contact the person who set up the printer."

How can I get this turned back on?  I have already restored factory defaults in the EWS, but no dice.

If you have not done so,

Open the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to Settings > Security > Administrative Settings

Make sure Fax and its sub-components are enabled

For example, Check the box next to Fax to enable that setting

Click Apply to set and save the changes

If the Fax doesn't immediately show up in EWS,

Exit (Quit) EWS > wait several seconds > Start a new session and check

General Example - EWS - Settings > Security > Administrative Settings
