HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M480f
macOS 12.0 Monterey

Hi,

I'm not able to scan with my MFP M480 on Mac OS Monterey. I switched from Windows 10/11 to Mac OS a couple of weeks ago. On Windows everything was working fine.

I tried all the steps i could find in this forum.

Uninstalling the HP Software

Resetting the printer System

Rebooting

Reinstalling with and without HP Easy Start/Scan/Smart

via USB and/or Ethernet

install the latest firmware (Feb 2022) on the printer

and so on, but nothing works. The printer works fine no matter how i installed it. Either with the built in drivers or after using HP Easy Start.

If i open the scanner and try to scan via flatbed, it shows the message "The scanner failed to complete the overview scan." If i switch to the document feeder it will know if there is no document present. If i add a document and press scan, nothing happens. The "scan" button switches to "cancel" and that is it.

I hope someone can help.

Thanks
