Envy all-in-one 6000

When I try to print a Word document, it only prints select lines.  Sometimes it even double-spaces lines when the document isn't double spaced.   I'm on printing one-page documents and it's completely picking and choosing which lines to print.

Hi @SBergen,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy all-in-one 6000 printer is not printing the entire document, there are several possible reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the problem.

  • Check ink or toner levels: Ensure that the ink or toner cartridges have enough ink or toner to complete the print job. If they are low or empty, replace them with new ones.
  • Print preview: Before printing, use the print preview function on your computer to ensure that the entire document is displayed correctly. If the preview shows any missing content, it could be an issue with the document itself.
  • Paper size and type: Make sure the paper size and type selected in the printer settings match the paper loaded in the printer. If the document is larger than the paper size, it may cut off the content.
  • Page margins: Check the page margins in your document. If the margins are set too narrow, some content may be cut off during printing. Adjust the margins to allow for sufficient printing space.
  • Printer driver: Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed on your computer. Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP support website to download and install the latest driver for your printer model.
  • Print settings: Verify the print settings in the printer dialog box on your computer. Make sure the "Fit to Page" or "Scale to Fit" option is not enabled, as it may cause the content to be resized and cut off.
  • Print spooler: Restart the print spooler service on your computer. Sometimes, issues with the print spooler can affect the printing process. You can do this by going to the Services menu in Windows, locating the Print Spooler service, and restarting it.
  • Test with a different document: Try printing a different document or file to see if the issue persists. This will help determine whether the problem is specific to one document or affects all print jobs.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
