Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Scanning Mystery -Officejet Pro 8610. Just setting up this printer. Everything's ok when I scan a document on the glass, using my computer (Windows 7) following the steps in the HP Assistant. It scans & goes into the My Documents folder. BUT..when I scan using the controls on the printer, it completes the scan ok, but I can't find the file on my computer! Its not in the My Documents Folder???  Where does it go?

Any help / advice would be apprecited. Thanks.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues scanning from the printer front panel.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and check if it helps.

Update. I also subsequently ran into a "Printer Failure" error message on this machine.

It's now in the electronics recycling bin at my local green depot!😞
