OfficeJet 4658 won't "copy" from glass platen

HP Recommended
OfficeJet 4658
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

OfficeJet 4658 prints and scans with no problems . Copies from the document feeder but will not copy from the glass platen.

It starts the copy process saying "copying... 1/1" and then just hangs with the mechanism inside just sound of the print head moving back and forth but nothing else happening. Only way to exit the process is to cancel the copy from the touch screen X.

Problem solved...

It was a settings problem with paper type set as 'Photo Paper'.

Using the Embedded Web Server, log in and go to Settings/Preferences/Tray and Paper Management/Paper Type. When resetting the printer, it defaults to Photo Paper instead of Plain Paper.
