Hi, I'm having an issue with my HP OfficeJet Pro 8718 when performing double-sided duplex scans from the tray. The printer takes the first paper, scans it, and releases it as if it was single-side scanning. It then tries to pull it back, but can't as it's already been released and ends up interpreting this as paper jam and crashes the whole job. 
I have tried from Mac, PC and from the printer itself. There is no paper jams, it just sends the paper out in the lower-part of the tray after scanning one side instead of not pushing it all the way and take it back like it used to do. 

Any advice on this? Could it be software or hardware?

Hello @Jdjdbvd,
welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

This printer does not have an ADF duplexer.
Double-sided scanning is only possible manually.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8718 All-in-One Printer
