Hi, I know my printer isn't capable for 2-side ADF scanning.  But what is the fastest and easiest way to scan a 20 page document back-to-back and still have pages scanned one after each other? Because since it only scans one side, if I flip the whole pages after the scanning the PDF document pages wont come in order. For example, for a 10 page document they will be scanned as follows: page 1,3,5,7,9,2,4,6,8,10

I know I can simply scan 1 side of the page flip it and scan the other side, but it removes the whole purpose for the ADF. Is there an easier way to scan? or maybe a software to fix the pdf ones all pages are scanned?

Thanks in advance.

Easiest:

Use HP Smart for Windows

Scan all the front sides in the ADF

Select to "Add pages"

Flip and Scan all the back sides

When the Scan view shows all the pages,

Click the tiny preview box to change the view so you see all the pages as "tiles".

Grab (Click and Drag) each page in turn > Reorder each page where you want it.

Save the document.

If it is already too late and you have a PDF file with the pages "out of order",

If you can tolerate a single sided print of your PDF file,

Use HP Smart to print the document and use the Page Range to reorder the pages.

That is Print the page range to "re-stack" the pages as they are printed.

Adobe Reader DC also includes a Page Range method so you can print what you want in the order you like.

Open the PDF file in Adobe Reader DC

Click the printer icon

Select "Pages to Print" > enter pages to print in the document, each page separated by a comma

Print the document

or

Open "More Options"

Select the Odd or even pages to print.

Print again, printing the "other" pages.

Manually Re-stack the document after printing.

You are welcome.

The method to scan / add / re-order the pages does take a couple of extra steps - it does at least work and it gives you a "finished" document that is in the order you need / want.

After that, you can print the document 2-sided.

Stay Safe.
