How can I save my scanner settings in HP Scan? Every time I use HP Scan I have to reset all my settings to my preference. When I close the app and re-open it everything is back to the default settings again. The OLD HP Scan saved my settings but this new one does not.

Thanks,

What the setup looks like depends on the version of Printer Software.

The following example may be similar to your setup.

  • Open HP Scan
  • Select type of scan
  • Adjust settings
  • Click Create New Scan Shortcut
  • Enter a name of the new shortcut
  • Click Create
  • Click Scan when ready

This is what I have been doing, but it does NOT save my settings on the MORE section of the app. I want it to save as an image with 300 dpi but it always resorts back to the default SCAN settings instead of saving as IMAGE with 300 dpi

I have the exact same printer running Win 10 64 bit.

I just did exactly what you said and it saved just fine under a new shortcut.  Closed and reopened and the same settings were there.

Wow! Thats fantastic! Now you see my problem... Mine does'nt! Thats why I'm asking for help. I obviouslly have something that is causing my HP Scan app to not save my settings. Dont know what to do to rectify the problem. I've saved and re-opened and the settings are always back to default. Very puzzeling!
