Officejet 7610 Wide Format pri
I am having an issue with scan to email on my Officejet 7610 printer. On the network and through apps, it works just fine. The problem is if I scan a multipage document and email it to myself directly from the printer.

Every page is sent as a separate pdf file and separate attachment. If I want to read the PDF, then I have to open a new email every time to see the page.

Is there a way to tell the machine that it should all be one document? I don't always have the computers on in order to scan and save, then send. Especially if I am sending information to a friend before I walk out the door.

Print / scan doctor - Nothing wrong and all updates installed.

Updates - Routine update checks done every 1 - 2 weeks

Software - Full software is installed (other than the optional photo and Bing software)

Firmware - updated to latest version (checked once a month at a minimum)

Scan to computer wasn't working - Something about the full software wasn't installed, even though it was.

Printer option screen - Everything is set correctly and everything works from that screen.

Final solution:

     1) I un-installed EVERYTHING related to the printer, including removing it from control panel and using revo uninstaller to completely remove everything.

     2) Re-install the printer from scratch (as if I just bought it).  Installed from HP.com instead of the accompanying CD to make sure I had the latest version.

Now it's working, so more than likely, typical software glitch that only showed up when that particular option was selected.

Hi @Netlearn,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are having an issue with scan to email with your HP Officejet 7610 printer. And, I am happy to look into this for you!

Not sure if you are using the scanner glass, or the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). If you are using the scanner glass, then they will be scanned as individual files. I would recommend to try loading the multiple pages in the ADF instead, and trying the same task.

You're right, I hadn't clarified that part. I am using the ADF feeder. I understand the glass would be separate. The documents (usually no more than 3 or 4 pages) are all stacked together. I always copy the back sides as a new page prior to scan to ensure they all go.

When I do the scan to email from the printer control panel, it tells me it is scanning and sending pages, but when the recipient opens their mail, each page has been sent separately.

We have both sent the scans to our phones standing right next to the printer and it has sent individual mail while still scanning the rest of the pages.

Thank you for the help so far, I appreciate it.

Hi Netlearn,

Thank you for your reply!

Let's try scanning to the computer (from the front panel), and not to a mobile device. Does it do the same thing?  Does the same thing happen when you use HP Scan on the computer? If you are using a computer running Windows, what does the HP Print and Scan Doctor say?  Are you up-to-date with the firmware? Getting Printer Updates

If this helps, please consider clicking on 'accept as solution.' And, please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.

Hope this will help resolve your issue! 🙂
