HP PageWide Pro 477dw Multifunction Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been able to "scan to email" for years.  The email client was MS Office Outlook 2013.

I upgraded to MS Office 2019 and suddenly "scan to email" is not working.

The printer is attached directly to the computer via USB.

See error message below.

I am able to print without an issue and scan without an issue, however scan to email seems unavailable.

When I try to reconfigure, there is no "Outlook" choice available.

Can anyone help?

Thank you!

You may need to update to the latest scanning program. I just tested with Ver: 2.1.0.6063 and it worked fine with Outlook 2019.

Sounds very promising.  Where do I find the latest scanning program, Ver: 2.1.0.6063?

I don't see anything like that on the driver download page for the product.

Do I have to install the "Full Software Solution - 38.9.2003_1" to get the scanning software you recommend?

Hopefully you can point me in the right direction.

Thanks for the quick reply....much appreciated!

I believe that I installed the HP Universal Scan package. It is not designed for the Pro series but works and supports Pro devices just fine. Search for drivers for the Pagewide E77660 and it is listed on the download page for that device.

I appreciate your help, but I don't see the scan package 2.1.0.6063 on the E77660 page.

I know there is a new complete software package for the Page Wide 477dw, only a few months old.

Perhaps I should download and install that one and hopefully the problem is resolved in that release.

There is no specific documentation to that affect that I can find, but maybe that's worth a shot.

Thanks again for you help.

Sorry it's taken so long, but I just got to my client yesterday.  I installed the latest complete driver package, but unfortunately it did not resolve the issue.  They still cannot scan to email.

I'm thinking the problem is not with the printer software, but possible with Microsoft Outlook 2019.  That's the other variable.

The problem manifested itself when they upgraded from Microsoft Office 2013 to 2019.  I checked the add-ins, but I don't see anything relevant. Just thought I'd update my post.

Thanks for your help.
