I have a HP Officejet Pro 8710.   It's worked well for years.  Now, I am trying to copy a letter sized document, but I am unable.  The message is "Papersize mismatch " - the paper size 8.5 x 11 does not match the paper size selected - 4 x 6.   I can't figure out how to change this in the printer itself.    I am able to print regular 8.5 x 11 docs from my laptop, however I cannot copy.    The virtual assistant was frustrating.

If it's supported in your EWS, change the Tray and Paper Settings

Next, change / update the Copy Default settings.

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

Model Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes
