Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

When I try to scan or fax multipage documents, I get a message that the ADF does not detect paper in the feeder.  I've tried the "software" solutions of unplugging the power cable from the wall and the back of the printer, unplugging the USB cable, waiting 30 seconds and then replugging in the wiring.  Didn't solve the problem.  There is no chiming when paper is pushed into the feeder for scanning or faxing.

I suspect that the sensor is bad.  I found HP Officejet 8600 CM749-60043 for sale on eBay, but am not sure that this will fit my printer, with product number CM750A.  If this is NOT the correct assembly, what is the part number for the correct assembly?
