Hello,

 

suddendly my printer all in one 5232 refuses to scan from the glass and i get a message that the document feeder is empty. It scans only from the document finder with HP Scan. I precise that i haven't the problem with windows scan.

HP scan and doctor runs fine except of course for the final scan test where i get the message that document feeder is empty.

I haven't make any change nor in the driver,  nor in windows updates.

Hi,

 

try these steps:

  1. shut down printer via on/off switch
  2. switch off the router
  3. shut down the computer
  4. wait about 60 sec.
  5. switch on the router, wait until the router has completely initialized itself again
  6. Switch on the printer, wait until the printer has finished its initialization
  7. switch on computer, log in (with admin rights) and wait about 30 sec.

... and now open HP Scan, you can see this option?

Thank you very much , the option re-appeared after rebooting printer and computer .. no need to reboot the router (internet box)
