When I place a document for copying on the platen glass, the printer uses the document feed, so it thinks nothing is there. It used to sense where the document was, between the two, and respond to either. Thank you.

I understand there might be a setting or sensor issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e printer causing it to default to the document feeder instead of recognizing the document on the platen glass. 

 

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

 

  • Check Printer Settings: Make sure that the printer settings are configured to detect documents placed on the platen glass. There might be an option in the settings menu to prioritize the platen glass over the document feeder.
  • Reset Printer: Try resetting the printer to its default settings. This can sometimes resolve software glitches or incorrect settings that may be causing the issue.
