macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I recently updated to a MacBook Air with Apple's new M1 chip.  Now, my HP Envy 5530 will no longer scan.  The computer is on OS version 11.4.   HP support doesn't list this OS, so apparently they don't have a driver to support all of the functions of this printer.  Can any of you confirm this problem, and does this mean I have no choice but to buy a new printer?

@Ronbo13, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to scan from your Mac. To assist you better, do you get any errors while trying to scan?

Have you installed the printer using the AirPrint driver? If yes, you would not have installed it as 'Bonjour multifunction which is why the scan function is not included.

 

HP Support site has a driver for macOS 11 which is also compatible with macOS 11.4

 

However, you may use the HP Smart app from App Store to scan or you may also download the HP Easy Scan app.
