Printer scan malfunction

HP Recommended
officejet pro 8500A
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I try to scan a document from ADF or flatbed I get vertical lines on the page no data from test sheet

@Franco46, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand you are not able to scan or make copies on the printer. 

 

Perform the steps mentioned in this document -  Resolve scan quality problems on HP printers

Now, try making a copy from the flatbed glass to check the result.

 

If the vertical lines persist, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue with the scanner mechanism.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
