Hi @hairelo

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

What is the error that you get?

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard > Choose your network and enter the password.

Once the printer is connected, the blue wireless light will become steady.

Now, install the printer on the PC

Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Try printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Good evening, the printer is on the network. However when I run the scan doctor it resolves the printing issue resolving a port issue but does not solve the scan issue, I receive a device manager error. When I try to download the printer on other computers on the network it will not do so.

@hairelo, To assist you better with scanning, I need to know the following:

  • What is the error you get while scanning?
  • How are you trying to scan?
  • Which application do you use to scan?

If the printer is on the network and you are able to print fine, try scanning from the HP Smart app.

Click here to know more about the app.

You may also run the HP print and scan doctor and click on 'Fix scanning' to resolve any scanning issues.

Let me know how this goes.

Not solved, after restoring the network settings and installing the software on the computer I still can not install over the network. I've tried wireless and the ethernet cable.

@hairelo

The post has been unmarked.

  • What happens when you run the wireless setup wizard on the printer screen?
  • Do you see your wireless network?
  • Is the blue wireless light flashing or steady?

Keep me posted.
