I scan the documents and half way through it say the scanner canceled the scan.

  1. Check Connection: Ensure that the scanner is properly connected to your computer or network. Loose connections or faulty cables can sometimes interrupt the scanning process.

  2. Software Issues: Update the scanner drivers and scanning software to the latest version. Outdated software or drivers may cause compatibility issues leading to scan cancellations.

  3. Paper Jam: Check for any paper jams or obstructions in the scanner feeder. Even a small piece of paper stuck in the feeder can cause the scanner to cancel the scan.

  4. Scanner Settings: Adjust the scanner settings to ensure they match the document you're scanning. Sometimes, incorrect settings can cause the scanner to cancel the scan.

  5. Power Cycle: Try restarting both the scanner and your computer. A simple power cycle can sometimes resolve temporary glitches causing the scanner to cancel the scan.

  6. Scan in Batches: If scanning multiple documents, try scanning them in smaller batches instead of all at once. Scanning too many documents at once can overload the scanner and lead to cancellations.
