My Mac is running Big Sur 11.0.1. When I try to scan from the copier glass to e-mail, I get an error message "Username or password is incorrect." I've tried sending to different e-mail addresses, resetting Printers and Scanners, deleting and reinstalling the Printer and Scanner software, all to no avail. The problem doesn't go away.
Figured it out by myself. The problem was a Security setting on my Gmail account. I had to adjust the settings in my Gmail account to allow less secure apps (HP scan to e-mail) access to my Gmail account.
