The scanner says it is scanning but after scanning finishes the page scanned does not show up to save and the save option button is not highlighted. It's like the page never actually was scanned. Picture below shows what I am seeing
after scan finishes. Anyone else have this problem and able to find a solution?

Hi,
Try this standalone scan software:
HP Scan Extended
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Please Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor (PSDR) tool to diagnose and fix your problem

Thanks for replying, greenturtle. Unfortunately, I have run the scan dr. tool several times and nothing was wrong apparently. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled my printer/scanner several times to no avail. I had scanned about 200 pages without any problems and then the problem started. Waited a couple of days thinking maybe it was just too hot or something and tried again. Scanned one page with no problem then the next page wouldn't scan. Well, it said it was scanning but like above nothing showed from the scan and no highlighted save button. I would take it somewhere to see if it could be fixed but it will probably cost as much as a new printer since this one didn't cost much. Just right now I don't have the money to shell out for a new one. This one is not even a year old.
