@Nani562, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand you're seeing Cloud Fax on your printer when trying to fax, and the recipient isn't receiving your documents. Let's get this sorted out.

What is Cloud Fax?

Cloud Fax is an internet-based faxing service that some HP printers support. Instead of using a traditional phone line, it sends faxes via the cloud. However, if the recipient doesn't support or receive cloud faxes, it can cause delivery issues.

How to Disable or Remove Cloud Fax

To switch back to traditional faxing via phone line, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access Fax Settings on the Printer

  1. On the printer's control panel, tap the Fax icon.
  2. Go to Fax Setup or Fax Settings.
  3. Look for an option like Fax Send Settings or Fax Method.

Step 2: Disable Cloud Fax

  • If you see Cloud Fax or Internet Fax listed as the default method, change it to Analog Fax or Phone Line Fax.
  • Save the settings.

Step 3: Check Fax Line Connection

Make sure your printer is connected to an active phone line:

  • Plug the phone cable into the 1-LINE port on the back of the printer.
  • Test the line by sending a fax to a known working number.

Step 4: Remove Cloud Fax Account (if applicable)

If you previously set up an HP Cloud Fax account:

  1. Visit the HP Smart Dashboard.
  2. Sign in with your HP account.
  3. Go to Fax Settings or Services.
  4. Disable or remove the Cloud Fax service.

Test Faxing Again

Try sending a test fax to a traditional fax number. If the issue persists, let us know:

  • Your printer model
  • Whether you're using a phone line or VoIP
  • Any error messages displayed

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
