Samsung Xpress C 460FW

Need to replace the transfer-belt of Samsung Xpress C 460FW. Having difficulties to disconnect the plug contact to remove the old transfer-belt. Is there any special trick to do that ?

There is no trick. What seems to be the problem? You can't access the connector, or you are afraid you will damage the connector?

Thanks for your reply. By opening the printer and removal of the moving parts, such as toner, roller etc., I got access to the connector. I tried to pull it down with force. He did not move. Yes, I was careful and tried not to damage the connector and the socket, as I later would have to reconnect the new connector when replacing the transfer-belt. I am a layman in this field and would be grateful for tips.

Somebody told me just to pull down the contractor stronger, which I did. It still did not come out the plug. Any additonal idaea of how to remove the contractor ?

Are you having print quality issues? You can reset the count of the old transfer belt in TECH MODE and continue to use your printer.

The connector should be disconnected with normal amount of pulling force.

Thank you Valsimot.

No, I don't have printig problems yet. Just an information on my printer to get prepared to install a new transfer-belt. Presumably the printer sometime from now on will stop to do the job. Heard, that one can even clean the transfer-belt; and a replacement then would be not necessary.

Either way, I'd need to remove the connector to remove the old transfer-belt, whether for cleaning or replacement services.

So far, the connetor "refused" to move, even by trying to pull it down by force.

Next time, I'll use a pair of tongs. I just wanted to avoid damages. I know, that the new tranfer-belt will come with a new connector. But, before ordering a new transfer-belt, I wanted to try "a cleaning of the old one". Do you think, that this would do the job - and if not - should I brutally brake the connection between the connecor and the plug to make space for for a new tarnsfer-belt and the then integrated new connector ? Would appreciate your comments.

If you don't have print quality issues just reset transfer belt in TECH MODE you can find video instruction on YT

Thanks again. Meanwhile managed to remove the transfer-belt connector. Based on  recommondations on YT, cleaned the transfer-belt and re-installed it. My printer still tells me to be prepared for a replacement of the transfer-belt and .... all of a sudden now, to be as well prepared  to replace the "fixing roll".

Then, as recommnded, I tried to get into the secret TECH-MODE as described in various videos on YT, but failed to get in. Information on YT said, to get into the hidden menues migth fail, if one has a key-pad printer. My Xpress C 460FW printer is a key-pad printer (Scan-Print_Fax). So, I could - by no way - not get into the TECH-Mode. Bringing all this together: Would it make any sense to spend something like EURO 100 for a new fixing roll and EURO 70 for a new transfer-belt, not knowing whether it really  - after the replacements  - would really stop all problems ?

Having all existing and repairing poblems in mind, would'nt  it be rather opportune to decide buying a new scanning/printing ink this time using device. Never Laser again. Too expensive on a four years Samsung xperiece . And then - of course - specifically no Samsung any more. Very Bad service.

Where can someone buy the wire connector set. I was trying to disconnect mine and the wire broke. Do I have to buy an entirely new Transfer belt?
