I am trying to Scan and my printer wants a PIN number and I don't know it. It will not let me move forward without it. How do I reset it?

Hi@Mezzi, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand that you would like to reset a pin or delete an email address from the scan to email feature on your OfficeJet Pro 8730.  I would like to help.

 

There are two different versions of the scan to email.

The first is software-related. You would touch scan then scan to email to access this version.

You would have to reset this version from either a connected computer that has the software installed or from the printer's EWS (Embedded Web Server).

 

The other version is accessed by touching Apps then Scan to email.

This version can be prompted for a pin reset from the front panel.

This version will not allow you to remove emails one at a time.

It's all or nothing.
