Resetting PIN to use scan on HP Office Jet 8715

How do I reset PIN number for scanning? I never created one and cannot scan from the machine.

Hi,
You should not reset the PIN, this was probably auto-filled by your browser when editing the scan settings.
Open the printer's EWS page and edit the settings, follow the wizard and be sure to remove the PIN Code

Once you are done press Save and Test and ensure the configuration is correct, then try scanning again.

ShlomiL _ How do I get to the EWS? The attached file you sent is for a 9010 printer. Do I have to open up an HP Smart app or something? I never created a PIN to begin with. I'm tech-challenged 🙂 😖

Hi,
This is for the 9015 printer indeed, but the steps should be the same.
Swipe down the top dashboard (The top black / gray bar) and then click the Wireless icon.
Locate the IP Address of the printer.
From your computer open any web browser and type the printer's IP Address. the EWS page opens.
Then follow the steps to change the settings, the options are identical for the 8715 printer too, as the document shows.
