SCan to email stopped working.  There is an update to SMTP servers to close a security hole and the printer is not compatible with that.  I believe it sends LF and SMTP now requires CRLF at initiation.  When we revert the SMTP server the printer works, but we cannot leave the hole open indefinately.  Is HP going to issue a firmware upgrade for MFP479dfw printers?

Good question, but I have heard nothing from HP at this point on whether they can or even if the current operating system being used would be compatible or upgradeable to MFA or other enhanced security.
