I recently installed the new HP app on my PC to use the scanner.  With the new version I cannot find how I can save multiple scanned documents individually!!  They all save as 1 file!!  I don';t seem to have the option to change the setting

Here's how you can save multiple scanned documents individually using the HP Smart app on your PC:

Steps to Save Each Scan as a Separate File

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your PC.
  2. Click on the “Scan” tile from the home screen.
  3. Place your first document on the scanner glass or in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder).
  4. In the scan window:
    • Choose “Scanner Glass” or “Document Feeder” as the source.
    • Select “Document” as the scan type.
  5. Click “Scan” to scan the first page.
  6. Once the scan is complete, click “Save” (do not click “Add” or “Continue” if you want to save each scan separately).
  7. Choose your file name and location, then click “Save”.
  8. Repeat the process for each document you want to scan and save individually.

If you use the “Add” or “Continue” option after scanning, the app will combine all pages into a single file, which is what you're trying to avoid.


Optional: Use “Advanced Scan” Presets
