HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer

My ENVY 7855 will print fine, but every scan and copy comes out a full black sheet. All HP suggested fixes have done nothing.

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-In-One Printer scan and copy is not working correctly.  

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • Fix printing and scanning problems with HP Print and Scan Doctor, a free tool for Windows.
  • If your printer is failing to copy and there is no response at all from your HP Envy when you attempt to run the copy, this generally indicates a hardware failure with the scanning/copying assembly built into your printer. Two things generally cause this failure: a power issue, or a programming issue.
  • There are numerous possible causes for a printer that's randomly producing blanks. The most common ones are empty ink cartridges, improper cartridge installation, and congested nozzles. Driver and software issues can sometimes cause this problem as well.

I tried the print and scan doctor and it didn’t find any issues.

 

And the machine does actually respond when a copy is made. It doesn’t produce a blank page but instead a fully black printed sheet of paper. As if the machine can’t read the page it’s copying and thinks it’s a black sheet of paper. But the lighted bar does move across the glass when attempting to copy.
