Color Laserjet Pro MFP M277 dw is blocked, says that the scan utility is used by my own computer (although not in use). HP print and scan doctor finds Borther Scan and HP CLJM277 Scan Driver. When selected the HP driver Scan doctor ends with Windows (WIA) Scan showing red but WIA local service is active. No Scan possible. Deleted and installed everything new, removed power cord from printer, restarted PC but nothing changed, System says that scan utility is not available, used by my PC. But I do not use it. Who can help?

Hi,
From the search bar type CMD, right-click on Command-Line and select Run as Administrator, be sure to confirm any prompt by pressing Yes.
Past the following command and press enter:
Sc config stisvc depend= rpcss/ShellHWDetection
Now restart your computer and try scanning, may you see any difference?

Hi Shlomi,
thank you for your advice. It did not work, but reason ist that the problem was not with the printer/scanner. Reason was that I deinstalled a Brother Scan utility but not completely and the rest of the scan utility from the Brother part blocked the scanner from using the HP part. Problem thouth reslved meanwhile bcause I was able to deinstall the rest and the scan works fine.
Thank you for your help, have a nice day.
