Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been using "scan to email" directly from touch screen from the initial scan icon on other HP officejets.  Just purchased HP8028e and do not have that option on the touch screen .  Is this feature available on the HP 8028e?

No, that is not available on 8028e, only Scan to PC from the printer touchscreen (you need software installed).
