Scan to email not working

I am trying to set up "Scan to email" and I keep getting the same error message:
Configuration
Network error. Check the printer's network connection and try again.
Click "OK" to go back.
What am I doing wrong!?

Hi,
Please clarify what email service do you use, and what settings are being used to set up the feature (e.g. SMTP Server, SMTP Port, SSL/TLS)

I am trying to use setting up with **bleep**.
SMTP Server: smtp.**bleep**.com
SMTP Port: 465
SSL/TLS - I am unsure what this means?
I entered my email and password under "server requires authentication"
I went into my **bleep** and turned off 2 step verification

Due to spammers mail domains are censored, Did you refer to G Mail?
