Scan to email
02-26-2021 07:28 PM

My scan to email has worked for the past five years. Then all of the sudden, it stopped working.
I type in my IP address into Safari. Then click on the Scan tab, then Scan to Email Setup. All of my info is correct, and each type I try to Save and Test, I receive the following:
The printer is unable to connect to the remote destination. Check your configurations and try again.
Click "OK" to go back.
I have also received the error that my login/password was incorrect too.
Thoughts?

Hey,
This is probably related with your email account security settings which were changed (this can also easily happen unintentionally due to any other change), please clarify what email service do you use for the printer.

Hi. Thank you. The email service I use for the printer is the following: smtp.mail.**bleep** and the port is 465. My username and password for yahoo are correct. Please advise.

Thanks for clarifying @Swebar1,
Using the standard security setting for Yahoo will fail indeed due to a security changes, creating and using an App-specific password instead of the standard security password should allow the printer to connect Yahoo’s smtp server:
