Hi, I have an HP Desk Jet 2135.

Recently I am not able to scan documents even though printing is okay. I went to the Device Setup & Software, clicked on Connect to Device but nothing happens, would appreciate some advice ...

  • Restart Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting both your computer and the printer can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Update Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. You can usually download them from the HP website. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause communication problems.
  • HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP provides a diagnostic tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor, which can automatically diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. You can download it from the HP website and run it to see if it can identify the issue.
  • Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block communication between your computer and the printer. Check your firewall and antivirus settings to ensure that they are not blocking the printer's communication.
