Scanjet G4050 suddenly will not open and requires new Adobe Flash Player

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Scanjet 4050 suddenly refuses to open.  Says it requires Adobe Flash, which Adobe stopped supporting January 2021.  How do I get my scanner working again without having to incur new costs for a subscription from Adobe? I tried  hpiscnapp but it looks complicated, beyond my paygrade to deal with.  I am not a computer expert!!
